Imer is a Social Psychology doctoral candidate minoring in Quantitative Psychology. His research is at the intersection of mindfulness and cognitive dissonance. He plans to analyze his dissertation data using mixed model ANOVAs and conditional process analysis.

Ricco is a Personality Psychology doctoral student with a minor concentration in Quantitative Psychology. His research interests revolve around studying emotion and emotional regulation. He seeks to utilize both qualitative and quantitative ideologies and methods towards building more comprehensive means of understanding emotion.

Emi Williams

Emi is an undergraduate student at Howard University, majoring in Psychology and minoring in Swahili. Her foci within Psychology are statistics and socio-cultural dynamics (such as in regards to differences due to language, culture, and LGBTQ identity). She was brought up in Seattle, Washington, in the Japanese-American community. Her interests include writing poetry, participating in community dialogues about diversity and activism, as well as gaining exposure to other cultures and languages.

Jayda Farmer

Jayda is an undergraduate student at Howard University, double majoring in Psychology and Sociology. The main goal throughout her studies and research is to help people of color heal from trauma and oppression—whether that be as a psychologist, sociology researcher, or guardianship attorney. In the future, she plans to have her own clinical practice and to continue traveling abroad to conduct research.

Kandysee’ Leonard

Kandysee’ is majoring in Psychology and minoring in Human Development at Howard University. She aspires to build a mental health facility for the US Virgin Islands where she was brought up. She dreams of establishing a non-profit organization in the Virgin Islands for young girls that aid them in understanding the importance of education, knowing their worth, and fulfilling their potential. She has recently grown fond of research and hopes to obtain knowledge and skills required for behavioral science research.

Stacia King

Stacia is double majoring in Psychology and Mathematics at Howard University. Her interests are in studying forensic and developmental psychology of the populations of African descent, women, and adolescents. She is also a member of Dr. Debra Robert’s Developmental Psychology lab. Upon completion of her Bachelor of Science degrees at Howard, she aspires to pursue a PhD degree and academic career.
